Shereen is a coach, performer and teacher. She grew up in a medical family. Her father, two sisters and uncle all work in the medical profession in Ireland and the UK. The kitchen table was a place of discussion and debate on medical matters and as a result, it is an area Shereen feels very passionate about. In 1999 she left Ireland to train as an actor at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London and has worked extensively in theatre, television and film since graduating. She has also completed an MA in Voice Studies: Teaching and Coaching at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama from which she received a distinction.

Dan has worked extensively in theatre, film and television since leaving The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama 20 years ago and has been a role-play facilitator for over 10 years. Since establishing ActEd with Shereen in 2014 he has a developed a keen interest in developing strong communication skills within medicine and other professions.

As ardent promoters of healthcare education, we understand the needs within competency based training and believe good communication skills play a key role in patient care and clinical competence for students, post-grads and practising clinicians.
